So slow...

The Roku Streaming Stick has been nothing short of disappointing. It's super slow and every app I've tried has lagged. I had previously owned a Roku 2, which was okay. I recommended it to my mom, who is not tech savvy and gets frustrated easily with all of her remotes. I think a Roku of any kind are for people like her. People that have little to no technology experience or expectations, and who don't know what they're missing out on in other similar products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have been a Verizon FIOS customer for many years now but they have just gotten too expensive. Have been sending back boxes to Verizon and substituting Roku players. Stick works very well and offers a remarkable variety of shows for substantially less than the big cable boys. Just make sure you have a high bandwidth connection and you'll be good to go. I canceled my Verizon cable and kept the internet and voice. I'm saving hundreds a month.

Purchased it for wall mounted flat screen; fit well into two USB ports. One for the Roku and one for power; did not need the included power supply.

Remote would not remain paired. Also, processor very slow for some apps (SlingTV is one). Traded up to Roku 3 which I love. my recommendation is forget the Stick, go with one of the newer models.

I'll Roku stick has not worked for about a month now so we just use Apple and I don't recommend Roku to anyone

Having Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku, this is the most useful. I bought it for the bedroom but moved to the main TV as I missed its features. Apple TV gathering dust now.
