absolutely love the Roku!

I have had the Roku for about 6 weeks and was a little leary of it. I thought I would have to pay for a dozen of subscriptions for this to be useful. I was wrong. There are so many free channels on a diversified networks, that there is something for anyone. My favorite show Downtown Abbey is in it's final season and I'm so happy there are series of that period provided by Roku. I recommend Roku to anyone who doesn't want to pay premium prices for the top cable channels.

Cord Cutting at its finest

The main issue I have it that the remote is cheaply made and doesn't work well. Being I have the Roku stick I can't just go buy another one. I had to resort to the roku app on my smart phone to control it. Which works ok but there is virtually no way to reprogram the stick without the remote. I hope there is never a problem once the remote quits working.

We are new to Roku and this type of TV/Movie viewing. So far, we are very satisfied. We are still a bit mystified by the large volume of programs and choices that we have access to. Little by little we will explore all the options. We have strict guidelines about what we choose to view. We are looking for family friendly programming and movies.

Roku is so much better, I choose the channels I want to buy, no more expensive packages of a bunch of useless channels. Will never go back to cable or satellite.

Amazing little device

The setup process is pretty simple and only takes a few minutes. The onscreen keyboard used to enter info via the remote control seems odd at first but you curse at it once or twice and it gets easier, at least for me it did. Then you start looking for content to watch, which is a different experience than what you may be used to.
Since I started streaming content about three weeks ago, my car insurance went down 73%, my long lost dog found it's way home, the left front tire on my truck now holds air for two days or more, and my ex-girlfriend has stopped leaving angry, endless rant-filled messages in my voicemail box. Thanks, Roku!!
