Did my homework. Roku won!

I have an Apple TV but wanted to get something else, so I did my due diligence and found Roku to have all the good features and was the overall winner in features.
Easy to use but what I like the most are the emails I get giving me info on how to get the most out of it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this through free sample site...I love anything free wasn't sure about it but hooked it up has lots of choices. wish more of them were free but over all am happy with it

Weak reception of WIFI

I am using this on a TV in a room quite a way from the WIFI router so the signal is marginal. I installed a WIFI extender in the room where the Roku is on the TV. It did not improve the performance. I checked the signal strength in the setup menu and it showed to be good signal strength. Pages often fail to load and it eventually times out and returns to the previous page.
I bought this to replace an Apple TV box that was working less than ideally using my iPhone in screen mirror mode. It was not a solution. I had tried it closer to the router and it worked fine there, but I really needed it to work in the distant set.

Simple but powerful

We bought this about a month ago. It was so easy to install and was up and running as soon as I plugged it in to the HDMI port in back of our TV. The picture is crystal clear. I wish there were more free networks to choose from, but even with paying for Hulu, Netflix, and and Amazon Prime, we're still paying less than for cable. I wish the remote was the same as the Roku 4 and that it lit up; it's really difficult to see the buttons in the dark. All-in-all, a really great device at a really great price. Thanks!

Remote rarely works

Every time I use my Roku I have to reboot the remote. Sometimes it's as simple as hitting the reset button on the remote, other times I have to unplug the Roku device and start over. If I had a remote that worked it would be great.
