A friend gave this to me and oh-boy am I glad that he did. From Red Bull Challenges to Netflix, news to sports channels and the list goes on and on,..... I have antenna TV, Roku and games. Cool
I settled on Roku primarily because of its slightly more extensive channel selection, but also it's built-in interface/remote. I love it! I was worried I wouldn't have enough to watch after dropping cable, but am now overwhelmed with choices EVERY night (I subscribe to Netflix & Hulu.) - all shows I want to watch! Plus, I can watch them based on MY schedule.
I don't like cable TV because their service is not good enough. That is why I chose Roku. Unfortunately, I tried to watch some dramas through USA and NBC but I couldn't watch them. I was really disappointed.
Power via USB cable; port on the end, greatly increasing the clearance needed at the TV/monitor's HDMI port. 2 of my 3 devices didn't have enough room. Remedy: buy a USB cable angle connector (left, right or back as needed). Content selection: I do as much as I can via my computer's web interface. Trivial navigation by the remote is OK (inherent limitation for this model).
