Ok, but apps need work

The default apps (like "News") work fine within Roku, but I am growing increasingly frustrated with apps like WatchESPN and NFL. Both of these apps buffer like crazy and makes the programming nearly unwatchable (Note: I checked my connection speed within the Roku and it shows "excellent", so I don't think it issue is on my end or because of my bandwidth). I understand that most of the issue lies with the creators of these apps, but it would have been nice if Roku declined these apps and didn't promote these apps (as a value to their system) until the companies submitting these apps improve the experience. I would have gone with a different solution as WatchESPN and NFL are the only channels I care to watch.

Works great unless you have a sound system

Unfortunately did not take into consideration that this USB stick solution would not allow for sound. Our surround sound system expects each feature to connect into in for sound and this USB stick direct into TV USB isn't working. Too bad.

Netflix & Amazon Menus, Keypad

The menus flat suck. The are too small to be read from a comfortable viewing distance. The keyboard entry is cumbersome and complicated by the small key and lack of illuminated keys

Ease of use

I have had my roku for slightly over a month. I am not a technical person and had my daughter in law here to help me. Turned out there was no need. Had it set up netflix and hulu downloaded before she was done making our smoothies. Then the fun began finding shows. I have the stick and I can plug part of it into the TV instead of an outlet...I would advise using your electric outlet.

A little slow to start up. Probably accessing the internet and based upon your system and it's condition. Other than that, it works well when watching your selected feature show.
