Another Roku!

Originally bought a Roku 3 "just because" and put it in the master. After the first day of use, I wanted to add a Roku in the living room. I knew there was some talk about another stick being released, so decided to wait...and I'm glad I did. I plugged this into the back of my Denon receiver and it works wonderfully. The shortcut buttons are a nice touch on the remote and I'm relieved to see that the menu is the same from the Roku 3. I'll be adding another Roku for the guest bedroom. Bonus: This Streaming Stick is even more mobile than the other Roku devices. But, I can only give this rating 4 stars and really considered 3. The remote is a little buggy, or maybe the stick is freezing? I would like to believe that there wouldn't be any issues with the remote or location of the Stick, considering it uses RF technology. I'll have to give this little guy a little more time to determine if there's an actual issue with it or not.

Nice little device

I received a pre-release product from Roku and so far I am enjoying a lot. Lots of channels and functionality. I only have one pet peeve and that it needs a power connector as my TV doesn't support power over HDMI. Because of the way my TV is designed, it doesn't quite fit in and I had to come up with a workaround to get it to fit. Other than that. it works great!

Just bought 3 Roku streaming sticks HDMI and love it. bought a chrome cast and took it back. The Roku streaming stick is so worth the money. And I plan on buying more for gifts for family members & friends. The only problem is it needs some kind of a extension for it..
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just got my roku streaming stick and I love it. It is small and simple. I have three regular roku devices which I plan on now updating. I am not sure how to use my stick to its full potential but I look forward to learning.

I was looking for a solution to stream movies via Netflix, Plex, etc without having to purchase a Bluray player or a new smart TV. I bought the Chromecast but I found out the 2.4ghz channel was getting interference from my Polk Soundbar 3000 wireless sub and the signal would constantly drop. So I bought this Roku stick since it is dual band and the 5ghz channel solved the issue!! I have used the Chromecast stick on a different TV and I have to say the Roku is far better... plus the separate remote makes a world of difference... after the "coolness" of using your phone to control Chromecast wears off its actually annoying. Moving your laptop to where you're sitting so you can use the Chromecast stick gets old too. I will be ordering another one of the sticks very soon.

Caveat!

Overall, excellent product, but be aware: Some TV external port bays are too narrow to accommodate the length of the new stick unit and its power plug. You will need at least 4 inches of clear space underneath or to the side of your HDMI ports in order for the stick and its power plug to be inserted. Also the unit is wider than a standard HDMI cable plug, and may not fit if an adjacent port is filled. The only way around these problems is to buy an extension HDMI cable with a female plug on one end to fit the unit, but that of course defeats the whole idea of using a compact unit with no data cable.

Takes the cake in comparison, but no HDMI Extender

Awesome form factor and integration with Android/iOS. With TV's getting thinner and mounts getting smaller, a small extender is a must! Until I order one, I'll need to hold off mounting my TV.

Guess I will be giving away my chromecast as a gift to someone. This stick blast chromecast. The variety alone blows it away. thank you for catching up. Considering the fact you guys also have the best streaming box in business.
