Check Your Power Supply !

Although I wrote a review a few days back on this wonderful little innovation, I feel the need to address a number of issues other buyers of this product have had....namely dropouts, slow loading of channels, stick seizing, ect . The TV's USB connection that provides the power to the Roku stick may not be providing all the power needed to operate the stick properly. I too was having all the above problems, the random dropouts,, ect......all solved the moment I used the supplied power adapter. One would think a 70" Flat panel with 4 USB inputs would provide enough power to these USB ports, but thats simply not the case....these ports were designed to power memory sticks with minimal power needs and nothing more. Since I began using the supplied AC power adapter, every single issue cleared up and the unit has been running absolutely glitch free since then.
I am a little concerned about the heat generated by the unit. It gets pretty warm in the small enclosed area between the wall-mounted TV and the wall. Will the excess heat shorten the life of the unit, I wonder ?

Absolutely terrible - worst product ever bought

The Streaming Stick keeps rebooting. During the first few days of use, I found that it would not maintain a stable connection to my router. It only connected when it wanted to, and now it doesn't even connect anymore. Everything else in my house is absolutely fine. My phone and laptop are both connected to the Wireless N router with absolutely no problems. This product is an absolute waste of time and money. Worst product I have ever bought in my life. No joke. Do not buy it. Easy return. Completely dissatisfied.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had mine two weeks and already reduced cable to the minimum. I may delete it entirely as I get better educated on my Roku.

Excellent for Hotels and Home

I only got this because my chromecast does not work in hotels because the networks don't allow devices to talk to each other so chromecast won't work in hotels unless you have a personal hotspot It loads channels very slowly but looks and works great.

I love my new Roku streaming HDMI stick! No awkward box taking up space with a bunch of wires sticking out all over, & the streaming quality is awesome!

I agree with "Stratpa" comments. Like him, I am a Pro Roku user and have 3 units in the house already. I'm sending back the streaming stick today and will order a 4th Roku unit, the Roku 3 (will be our 3rd).

FORGET CHROMECAST. This is by far the best ROKU Ever. This Steaming stick is the best invention since the TV. Everyone on this planet needs one of these. Just plug it in and STREAM AWAY. Super easy set up. Just 5 minutes. And your plugged in to 1000's of channels.
