This is the 3rd Roku that I have bought, the 1st streaming stick, and the remote works for 1 minute and stops. I've tried everything, new batteries, resetting numerous times etc. The only thing that works is the Android app on my cell phone. May try to fix myself again or may have to return it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

well worth the money

Expecially like Pandora (but not the commercials); can make non-smart TVs smarter than smart TVs (without Roku). What's next? Expect this could evolve to screen within screen views that allow the user to use search engines to enable learning about the lives of the performers, composers, etc. while listening (or watching) programs; let viewers compose their lists for Netflix; and it will also be nice when you can create a Ritchie Valens Radio that plays LaBamba or a LaBamba Radio that plays Ritchie Valens' LaBamba.

I've had the stick for over a year and haven't been able to use it for over half the time because it doesn't work and won't move past the opening screen and won't pair with the remote.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had the streaming stick about a month now and love it. Specifically the ability to plug in with usb and hdmi so no cords hanging down from my mounted tv. And great price!!!
