Mega Channels in a Mini Space!!

I received the Roku Streaming Stick as my Mother's Day gift this year and I am in channel surfing heaven!! I love the options and the ability to watch free TV and if I so chose to pay for some channels. I love all the options of British, Canadian and Austrailian TV...totally awesome!! Our family doesn't subscribe to cable or satellite, antenna TV only so having the Roku SS is a fantastic addition to our TV viewing options!! We will be looking at purchasing another one for my daughter's TV.

Love the size but Netflix keeps crashing

I have owned a Roku box for about 4 years and decided to but the stick for another television. It's awesome because it is hidden and requires no cords! And when I use any app other than Netflix it works great... However it is really difficult to watch anything in Netflix. If I can make it to the show I want to watch without it crashing it streams fine but most of the time I can't get past the menu page! Just scrolling through the Netflix library page causes it to crash and restart. It is REALLY annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I moved two weeks ago and started using the Roku stick instead of satellite and although I have to be more intentional about my tv watching, it is amazing! I love it and will be purchasing another one for my bedroom tv, soon. I love, love, love it and my grandkids think I am so cool to have netflix and hulu plus on my tv!! Several of my friends will be purchasing Roku sticks, soon.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am amazed by the convenience setting the Roku Stick up and the diversity of channels available. The picture and sound are excellent and I really enjoy the option of subtitles on Netflix. I have a slight hearing problem and it makes watching movies much more enjoyable.
I received one of the first Rokus on the market for free from Amazon with the purchase of a samsung LCD TV and although it was only 720p, it was a remarkable product. so much material from such a little box. I loved it......

Decent for the Price

I am having a love/hate relationship with my Roku streaming stick so far. It has problems staying connected to the internet... and it's literally about a foot above my router and modem (housed in my entertainment center). Navigation is annoying compared to gaming systems, and my computer... If the remote had more buttons or the screen had a more detailed menu WITHIN apps, it would make navigation simpler.

Satellite Internet

Just wanted to say that we found out after purchasing our Roku that we can not use it with a satellite (HughesNet) service. We have WiFi but the satellite just would not allow us to use the product.

simple setup

I bought and installed my stick yesterday. The process was extremely simple. It was an impulse purchase from Sam's Club, and quickly read the reviews while in the store -- I was sold. Pressed Netflix and was off and running. The only thing I really could ask for is Canadian content. I can't find it anywhere. I'd order it from my cable provider but it's just not there. What I would give for CBC.

Conflict with TV wifi device and HD not good. I am going to buy Roku 3. This is my 3rd Roku device. No comparision with my Roku 2 HD picture. Half as good then Roku 2 HD picture. Remote is very slow too. Idea is great but need more tweeking. Main problem is when I hook up with my new TV which has WIFI too, Roku stick keeps rebooting after 10 or 20 minutes of playing. Very frustrating. And when I hook up with my 5 year old TV which has no WIFI, it works fine. HD picture is not so great as compaired with Roku 2. Anyway exchanging with Roku 3. Last thing I forgot to mention is when I set my account i have to give my credit card info. That was NOT COOL AT ALL. But i had no CHOICE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
