The flexibility is great, I love mine. There are periods of time when I need to let it reboot. The help line is great. I assume it will become more remarkable as time goes on.
I bought this a few months ago and first connected to my big TV in the living room (not too far from my wireless router) and it was great. Then I decided to move it to the smaller TV in the bedroom. At first I couldn't do that because the HDMI connection on the TV was on the bottom of the set and the stick was too long. I found an HDMI adapter on Amazon that allowed me to connect the stick. However, then I found my wireless signal wasn't strong enough to connect to the stick. So back to Amazon for a wireless range extender (easy to install wall plug in type). Since then, I can sit back on my bed and watch Amazon Prime on Roku when there is nothing good on regular TV.
My Blu-ray streaming never worked the first time (sometimes it would take 3-5 attempts to start a show) and frequently froze mid-show. The Roku is very fast to respond and has not frozen at all! Very helpful with an impatient 2 year old. Love it and would definitely recommend to friends.
The HDMI version is everything Roku said it would!

Our purchase of the HDMI streaming stick was the replace the very poor performance of the "Smart" features of our Samsung "Smart" TV. Our TV flunked kindergarten! The stick was very easy to get set-up and working. The picture quality improved over the Samsung Netflix performance and the constant streaming studder prevalent with using Samsung completely disappeared. Only wish I had thought of purchasing the stick sooner.
I love my Roku! It's so easy to take from room to room and there is such a huge variety of channels to download. The day after I bought my Roku streaming stick I went out and bought my mom one as well. She loves it just as much as I do
We watch WWE and with the release of the network in February 2014, needed a way to watch that wasn't on a tablet/phone/computer. Bought a Chromecast and it didn't work the way we wanted, so when Roku released the Streaming Stick, we jumped on it. The regular Roku's are fine, but I liked the idea of the stick just being hidden behind the TV and working it's magic. While solely purchased for the WWE Network, we've found ourselves using it for so much more. So many channels and we even watch Netflix on it even though we have other ways to watch Netflix on the TV. The Streaming Stick combines the power of a Roku with the stealth of a Chromecast!
I can't seem to find any kind of a guide that really tells all of the channel possibilities and prices. How about some kind of list of any free services or channels? So far I believe that this was a waste of money as I don't have hours and days to experiment with things to see what's available
