My wife and I took it on vacation with us and it performed admirably.
We used our hotspot on our iPhone and it streamed fine. The "free wifi" provided by the hotels were generally too slow to stream video (<500kbps) but paying for a hotel upgraded wifi would probably have worked fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love this! Best invention ever. We were using our laptop to hook up the TV but when a friend introduced me to the Roku I was so happy. Some of the "channels" aren't available in our area like Disney & Disney Jr but we find plenty to watch on Netflix and Amazon, you can rent movies too. And we love Pandora!! Very happy with this purchase and it's easy to use too.

For the price, it doesn't get any better than this. It's decently fast, its network speed is fast, and the picture is excellent. If you're thinking of buying a chromecast, I would definitely consider this one instead.

I bought this to replace my cable and I'm very happy with it. It can be plugged into the wall or the tv, and is fairly durable. My two year old bent it a bit but it still works perfectly. Love that it's so small, less clutter. Definitely recommend it.
