Disappointed

When reading the information for the Roku Streaming Player it comes across that you get all these channels and can watch a lot of the current programs. We found that you have access to the main channels however to watch most shows there is a fee either per episode or season. In the end we were disappointed. Most anything we want to watch we must pay for. Also many channels ask for your cable service provider and in our case we purchased the Roku in place of cable so we can't view those channels.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is our second Roku device (actually it was bought to expand our streaming capabilities on a smart tv). Both have been extremely simple to set-up and use. Excellent product. Larger variety of channel choices than just a smart tv alone.

I bought this for my daughter to take to college, and can get very addicting. Especially if find out that you can watch 7 seasons of your favorite show! very easy to set up and access. I reccomend gettingthe model with the remote.

Roku HDMI Streaming Stick

Just a great little device that plugs into one of your HDMI ports and to either the USB adapter that comes with it or to your TV's USB port for power. There's so many channels to choose from from most any genre, paid and many free channels. The Roku HDMI HD Streaming Stick is just a great device.

Not made well enough to withstand switching device

We loved it while it worked, however, after only a few months, the metal teeth bent and it didn't work anymore. The sole purpose of us choosing the stick so we could move it easily from room to room. Very disappointed in this product!

I upgraded from my original model Roku box, and the Streaming Stick is wonderful. Clears up space in my entertainment center, has a great interface, and is definitely faster than what I had.

It Really Works!

We purchased the Streaming Stick for a second TV that is about 35 ft. from the router which is in a different room - No 'buffering' problems and the 'on screen' and the remote are very easy to use - If you're looking for a streaming device, this is a good one.
I would recommend this to a friend!
