i bought this like 3 months ago. its all good exept when it turns on. it takes a while to turn on. its also a little slow. the control is really good though. you dont have to point it anywhere since its a wifi control

Love ROKU, but stick version died after 6 months

I have more than 1 ROKU, and I love the services they provide. I would recommend them. HOWEVER, 6 months after I bought the HDMI stick version, it is constantly needing to be reset. I can hardly make it through an episode before the screen scrambles and freezes up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I cut my cable service off because it never worked right and had 1 service call then had to have it reset 3 times a week..wasn't sure about Roku but I love it get everything I did on cable just streamed..no complaints great product!

We bought the ROKU stick just to try it. We were so impressed with its capablitiies we bought a ROKU 3!

Love the slim profile

My husband bought this as an early birthday present for me and it has been wonderful. This is used with a wall-mounted TV so the small profile is great; I don't see the device at all, except the power cord. So far I've needed to remove it from the TV twice to do a reset (over the span of about 8 months). I don't use it that often since this isn't our main TV, which might cause updates to happen and a necessary reset. The remote works most of the time, though I feel that I need to "wake up" the roku with an initial button press if it has been in sleep mode. Installing the Roku app on my phone has made filling out username/password fields much easier than using the remote. I liked the Roku 2 remote better than this one, but it's functional and has the shortcut buttons so I can't complain a lot.
Overall this is a nice product and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or buy another if the need arose.

I love this product and so do my kids. I would give it 5 stars but it does take a very long time for the menu to come up when you turn the TV on. Roku seems to bonce on you r screen for several minutes before the menu pops up.
