Works well! Great addition

I recently purchased a new tv and wanted a new roku with it. I've been a roku fan for the last 4 years. This unit works well and I like the stick and compactness of it. I really like how rhe new rokus have a sling channel.
The only drawback I can think of is that all of the pictures imply that there is no power cord. There is a cord which may make this unsightly for people who have mounted their tv on the wall with a wireless look. I don't know why I thought there wouldn't be a cord - I just assumed it could draw power from the hdmi port.
So far that is the only drawback.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love the extra viewing options not provided by Dish or my smart TV. But I am dissatisfied with the signal range. I have to get up walk across the room (admittedly not a hard chore at this point) and aim the remote several different positions before it will register. Only occasionally will it operate from across the room. Very inconsistent.

I have a Roku 2 and then I got the streaming stick. Compared to Roku 2 it is slow, and the navigation is cumbersome. I would not buy another.

When it works it's fantastic. Unfortunately it doesn't work most of the time. It is a unreliable therefore I cannot recommend it.

This is my third Roku. It behaves the way my others do, but is more convenient in its placement. It would have been even more convenient if my TV's USB port was more accessible, but that is not Roku's problem.

I plan on purchasing 2. The negatives. It says all you need is internet and you are ready to go. That is incorrect. You also need a computer to sign in so you can make use of the Roku. I do not have a computer at home. They need to make an application on the ROKU so you can sign into required websites. Also, make sure you have enough power and a good cord hooked to the Roku. It does not work well if it does not have adequate power. Other than that, it works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!
