My only complaint was that I wanted to put this device on a smaller flat screen tv in my kitchen. Unfortunately, the rear profile of the tv was not able to accommodate the stick version of this Roku device. I ended up using it in another room. Also, I LOVE the app for the Roku remote. It's one less remote to deal with & you can switch between Roku devices if you have more than one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought the streaming stick as a Fathers Day gift for my husband & it has been the best thing ever! The picture quality for Hulu Plus is MUCH better than we had streaming through our Wii, and Netflix has a nicer user interface with the Roku. My husband also loves that he can access his WWE Network and Pandora accts with this device. My only criticism is that the streaming stick's shape doesn't quite line up w/ our HDMI port on the family TV (our smaller TV works fine). I am also confused by the fact that it doesn't turn off when you have it plugged in to a standard outlet. We love it!

I do like the stick, but sometimes the remote isn't the most responsive and doesn't work as well as my roku 1 box.

Have to reset after frequent crashes.
Some of the channels over-hype content quality and variety
But it's a good step in the right direction of only paying for what you are playing.

Not up to the performance of Roku 3 or old Roku 2

I have 3 different Roku devices. An older Roku 2, a new(er) Roku 3 and now the stick. The stick is frustratingly slow compared to the other 2. Decent feature set but IMO just not executed as well as I had hoped.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
