I first bought the Roku 3 and then we were going to have guest stay for a couple of weeks. That is when I bought the Streaming Stick for the guest room TV. The Roku is by far the better product. The 3 is so much faster than the Stick at surfing. Sometimes with the Stick it will just idle and you have to pull the power and let it re-boot. Once in a while you have to do that with the 3 when the voices on the movie do not sound right. Also with the Stick if I want to go back and repeat scene you just watched I have to press the back bar or button numerous times before it will even stop the program and then repeat the process to go back. We do not have that problem with the 3. Instead of the Stick I would just by the Roku 3, there is not much difference in size.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The overall I concept is amazing. It's a little slow tho. And the roku wifi never connects for me.

I had the previous versions of the Roku devices and didn't use them all that much. However the streaming stick I use everyday. The search feature and news features are awesome.

Works great for our compact TV. No fuss connection, but be patient for the boot-up.
Does get hot, but no problems.

Constantly "loading" not happy with it

I put it in my flatscreen and it streams for about 30 seconds the goes into a "re-load" - before you try blaming my network, I watch the same content on my tablet 5 feet away and it works. Frequently get "content not available " message, but again only on Roku. This thing was supposed to be plug and play, not plug and fail.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

roku streaming stick

I purchase the roku streaming stick a few months ago, I like it because you can use it on any tv that has an hdmi port, and you dont have to worry about a electric outlet just connect the stick on the hdmi and the usb cable in the tv usb port and you're ready to enjoy netflix or some of the free channels, I recommend this product.
