I plugged this into my tv and within a half hour it started turning itself on and off. Had to return it. Didn't try another one. Junk in my opinion. I love Roku and have four of them. I don't recommend the streaming stick.
I got one for the living room and I have no complaints it runs flawlessly, however it does run a bit on the hot end not sure if its really an issue or something to expect, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good streaming device!
Simple and easy set up. Works as designed. Fantastic picture with my Samsung. My only advice is to use the power adapter; I found the unit has to restart everytime when the TV is turned on the power adapter leaves it always on. With the Roku stick you can place your tv basically anywhere in your house.
We purchased the Roku 3 and Roku streaming stick on the same day. We got the 3 for our family room and the streaming stick for our bedroom. I have been super pleased with the options in channels, the easy to use design, and the overall performance of both. I can say that I am actually more impressed with the streaming stick than I am with the 3 as I have had to reset the 3 a few times due to lagging playback, but the streaming stick works flawlessly every time. If you're in the market for a great streaming device you won't be able to beat the quality and price of the Roku streaming stick.
We use it to stream Amazon Instant Video and children's shows, and for that it works GREAT for the cost. But its user interface is SLOOOOOW (hence only 4 stars).
I have had my Roku for about 6 months. I absolutly love it. I am able to watch Netflix and hulu on my television with no problem! It has been an awesome purchase for me!
It is still a little buggy. It drops the service, needs to be restarted is slow to retrieve etc. It does not work as well as my traditional Roku devices..............I did get one of the first ones, and hope this has improved because it really has possibilities with no wires and no footprint at all.
