I like the concept and the product, but I wish it would have more FREE channels to choose from.... Kinda defeats the purpose....I still have to pay for movies, cable and programming ..... I was hoping to cut a few bills by purchasing this product, but that was not the case..... But we do enjoy it for what it is, rather than what I thought it was.
I have had this device for 3 months. I have had some problems related to the device but not caused by the device. I tried using my TV's USB port for power and had occasional "lock-ups" while watch various channels (Netflix, Acorn etc.). I changed to the provided AC to USB Adapter and have had no further problem of that nature. I attempted to use a "port saver" (a 6 inch HDMI extension cable). That also caused some erratic operation of the device. Both of the problems I believe we're caused by something other than the ROKU, not excluding myself. I do have good WIFI signal. I think this is a great device at a very reasonable price.
We've had our Roku stick for a while now. It has all the same features as our Roku 3 which I love. The only problem we have is the response to the remote lags a LOT. It gets quite frustrating sometimes.
Well, I had the streaming stick for a few days. I loved everything about it. Until I used Netflix. Unfortunately with my setup you cannot have the setting in surround sound, or you get no sound. You have to have it in stereo and I refuse to watch movies in only stereo. So back it went. If I didn't have this problem, I would have kept it.
