I bought this a month ago to replace our roku box,bad decision, couldnt handle streaming! Bogged our internet down and will be going back to the store soon! I have always been so happy with roku ,i even gave one to my mother in law! I will stick to the roku box!
50 words is not enough.... We have had ROKU Box since our kids purchased it for my wife on Mother's day. The stick will be used for when we travel to visit our other kids in Texas and other relatives and friends. It "should" allow us to bring our movies and programs with us. It was not that easy for a 75 year old to set up, but I got the job done. We used it two days here to get familiar with it, but have not used it since and went back to the "BOX". We will travel Labor Day weekend and will see how it performs.....
We bought our Roku streaming stick after having purchased a Roku 2 box. There isn't a massive difference between the two items but the size of the stuck is a true bonus. It hides very simply.
I really enjoy how simple the Roku devices are to set up and use. Hook it up and on quick trip to a website to register it and it's good to go. With so many channel options, many of them for free (or a simple subscription fee from the provider), there is a plethora of options for things to watch. My family gave up using cable and the Roku has justified that decision 100%.
I would strongly recommend a Roku streaming device to anyone looking for a simple piece of tech to smarten any television in your home.
