The device does not work on all HDTVs as advertised. It also will go into a reboot loop at random times when it is rebooted, so restart at your own risk. Once it is working, it works just like the first generation roku with YouTube capability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Despite reading a couple of negative reviews of the streaming stick Roku I deceived to purchaser anyway because of the advantage of not having to deal with wires & I'm glad I did. The stick works at least as well as my older Roku & probably a little better

Nice equipment BUT....

I use it solely for watching and streaming television and no longer have my cable box. I bought this device about two months ago and it was fine at first but now overheats. It could be due to fact that I use it daily and can be plugged in up to 4-6hrs a day. The claim written on the box positively promotes the feature of no ON and OFF switch but I would guarantee if it did it would not overheat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought my RUKU about two months ago. I now have several of my friends also using RUKU...we are not youngsters and if we can use it with ease that is a testament to its simplicity.
I would recommend this to a friend!
