Great Features, love the remote!

I bought two these now. Love the ease of set up and use. Love the remotes which some sticks do not have. Only thing is the way to enter values during set up is a bit tedious.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have to continuously power cycle the Remote

It's more trouble to return it than it is to keep pulling the battery out and back in. The only reason I got the Roku is that it has the content I want. I had to wait a few days after buying the Roku Stick for Roku to send me an extension (which should just be included). Afterwards, the remote just stops working, until I power cycle it, and then it will work for, say, five or six clicks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plug and Play with WiFi

After many conversations with my neighbor whether to choose this over Google Chromecast. I'm so glad I chose ROKU. He chose Chromecast and now he comments to me wishing he had went with ROKU because of the remote feature which I tried to explain to him. He's stuck keeping his phone charged using it as his remote or being next to his Chromebook. The only complaint I have is occasionally I have to take the batteries out of the remote and reinsert them because loses signal with the receiver. The first time It happened I replaced the batteries thinking they were bad, since I just take them out and reinsert. No big deal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Small Form Factor

We like that the streaming stick disappears behind our television. The small form factor is great. Watching Netflix or Amazon Prime yields great picture quality. I can not get Amazon Prime or Netflix to play in 1080/full screen mode even though the settings are selected for such. The menu fills the screen, but "channels" do not display in full screen mode. After a few weeks of use, we are unimpressed with the sluggish menu which is sometimes unresponsive. After popping the batteries out of the remote and replacing, the menu seemed to work fine. We replaced the batteries thinking they were drained, but have the same problem with the new batteries. I hate pressing a remote button, getting no response, pressing the button again to only have menu options go scrolling by or jumping multiple selections. Or pressing a remote button multiple times to get no response at all unless the batteries are removed and replaced in the remote. I'm not sure if this is a streaming stick issue, Roku issue, or just this one device with an issue. Overall, I would not buy this again due to the menu problems.
