It fails sometimes

I'm extremely happy with my new roku stick. The fact that it's so small and tucks away behind the tv keeps my tv stand clutter free which is essential when you have toddlers.
The only problem I've encountered is with the netflix app not working correctly and as of today it stopped working all together (which made it totally weird to receive an email to review my roku stick today) But I suppose that could be a problem with Netflix or the netflix app. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but it doesn't seem to help. This is especially frustrating considering it's the app I use most frequently. As a result I'm forced to use the amazon instant video app which I don't generally prefer.

Just bought it a couple weeks ago and I'm still finding new things! I'm amazed there is so much access packed into this little thing!

Though there are a lot of channels available, you must have a TV service - cable. If I had cable, I wouldn't need Roku. There are a few truly free channels with a few free shows, but not as many as I had hoped.

This roku is great it gives great flexibility and is super compact. It takes only minutes to set up and the picture is great. I'm happy that I went for this model.

No-Stick Stick

This stick is too big and heavy to be physically mounted and restrained by a HDMI socket. The power plug and socket yank on the stick when moving and maneuvering other cords and equipment. I had to buy a new power cord because the cheapo plug became loose in the socket and kept turning off the stick power. This Roku stick takes FOREVER to initialize which it has to do every time I power on the device it is plugged into.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product, but freezes sometimes

The only negative comment I have is that it freezes and has to be reset, or resets it self 1-2 times per week. It only does this on certain HD channels and my other Roku (box) on another TV has never had this problem. Other than that it works great! I love the variety of channels and the ease of use.

Disappointed.

I can only get the stick to work on one of my TVs, whereas the original Roku 2 that I purchased previously works on all my TVs. Also, I am very disappointed that the stick does not come with earbuds as the Roku 2 does. It means I cannot watch using the stick and not disturb others.
