I purchased this about three weeks ago. It installed very easily and quickly. It seems to work as advertised. We watched OKLAHOMA (2013 stage play) and streaming was excellent. I downloaded the Roku App which gives me a remote on my cell phone (sorta neat). I would recommend this to others. The only drawback is my TV is old enough it does not have a USB port so have to use the power supply. Not enough to not buy the unit again.
Great stick for the 2nd or 3rd + set but runs HOT!

This is an excellent device for that second or third or more set. I bought this for my tiny up upstairs bedroom. Not a lot of space up there and had a 19 inch TV mounted on a low wall over the foot of bed. It needs to be able to push back flush against the wall so I also purchased an HDMI elbow to attach it to the TV. I've had Rokus of almost every version and I had my doubts about this one but I took the chance. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It streams just as well as any of the others models and I like that it has Netflix and Amazon buttons right on the remote for quick & easy access. Also, the USB plug for power is a BIG plus ! Plugs right into the TV's USB port and powers on & off with the TV, awesome ! Setup & connection to my network was a breeze ! I have dual band N and connected to the 5ghz band which is generally recommended for video streaming however I suffered buffer & disconnect issues the first few nights surely due to distance / floors and walls between the stick & the router.. 5ghz is great but it has limitations... No problem, I switched over to 2.4 and have had absolutely no issues at all since. On the downside, yeah, it does get extremely HOT and that is a bit bothersome and because of that I would not want to leave it powered on 24/7 or when unattended. They need to find a better way to keep this thing cool. Minus one star for that,,, Still, I would definitely recommend the stick for anyone for that extra TV / TV's but keep it turned off when not in use. I would still recommend the Roku 3 for the main TV though.
I have had my Roku for about a month now and I really love it! I was so happy to dump my cable company. Missing live TV a little so I may get an antenna.
Bought it 3 months ago and works great except minor lag between selections and major boot time of like 3-4 minutes. I only use it for anime and would apprecieate if any other anime channels were added
