Our son bought this for my husband for Father's Day. We have really enjoyed the movies and catching up on episodes of TV shows we have missed.

Works Well, But

When connected, the unit works quite well and smoothly. However, I have had a problem where the remote loses sync with the unit and must be re-booted, Not a major task, but one that requires time to accomplish. Also when this happens, I have to re-apply to some sites again as a new user. This is a random occurrence, but one that frustrates. I am at a loss on how to fix it.

Great for Home Entertainment

After purchasing the Roku 2, I realize that I needed another one. My second purchase was the Streaming Stick. Both are great for the price. I have had some trouble with the Streaming Stick, but after a call to support the problem was solved. The Roku is a great product.

ROKU Stick

I have enjoyed the using the new ROKU Stick to the maximum. It works so well with my Samsung smart T.V. , it does all that it is supposed to, and rather smoothly. I've used ROKU products for 2 years now, and I truly recommend their products, the new stick being my #1 choice.

waaaay to expensive to watch your fav tv shows

bought it and returned it the next day! I personally think it sucks! all your favorite tv shows you have to pay per episode which suck! pay for this pay for that..not for me! I will stick with my rapberry pi! every movie you can amagine all cable channels100% free and legal!

It was very difficult to set-up and required a long and involved telephone tutorial via telephone. Now that it is finally set-up, it is easy to use.

Great Player for the price

We've had the Roku stick for about 3 months now. It replaced a wii that we used for streaming. Overall, we've been very happy with it.
Pros: easy to set up
Easy to use. My 4 year old can work it.
Diversity of channels. We use Netflix, Amazon Prime, Vevo, and PBS kids, YouTube on a regular basis
The stick is small and can easily switch between tvs if needed.
iPad/iPhone app for when the kids misplace the remote or you just want to mess with your husband hogging the remote
Con: slight lag time getting into the channels like Netflix compared to the wii. The wii would be on main screen faster. It's not horribly slow just a difference we noticed. Tv shows and movies stream great.
Overall I would recommend it. I looked at chromed cast, apple, etc. before purchasing. I liked Roku because it offered all the streaming channels that we use. The others didn't have everything.
