The size it great, I love that you can power the roku via USB port if your tv comes with a USB spot. I also love that it is small enough to travel with. However, when I turn on my tv, go to the input for the Roku and hit the home button, it take 90 seconds, at least, before the roku snaps out of the sleep mode and goes to the home screen. I hit the home button multiple times; sometimes hitting it, walking away and coming back a minute later to hit it again. I've found that the only way to get it to go to the home screen is to repeatedly hit the home button. It is incredibly frustrating. I've even brought the remote behind the tv, directly next to the Roku to see if the tv was getting in the way of the signal... It still took forever. Additionally, when maneuvering through the menu, or typing into a search, the Roku is a little slow responding to the remote. I really like Roku, but I wouldn't recommend this Roku model and version to a friend.
Bought this a couple of moths back, plugged it in get it on the wireless network and started watching. Only negative I have about this streaming stick is slow start-up-watching the NoKu logo bounce for a few minutes then you can use it. Otherwise it is a great streamer for your content.
I got my roku in July and I am happy with it, the only thing is that I get mostly classic movies which is fine. I like classic movies. I think it was a little misleading, I thought I would get more TV shows like Me TV, Cozi TV, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Hallmark Channel, etc. I do get some of these Channels but they are not full episodes or movies, all in all I would recommend this device.
We bought this a few weeks ago and love it. We have never had a streaming devise before and this one works great. We also have the slowest cable internet speed available and it still works great. We mostly use pbs kids channel, targets movies, and amazon prime and haven't had a problem streaming from any of these. I also stream music and that works great too. We also love not having to have a box sit next to the tv.
Had an older version and received a Roku One as a Father's Day Gift, it didn't work so well so I returned it. I replaced it with the Streaming Stick HDMI and haven't looked back. Now as great as it is, it does have two slight flaws, one it won't fit in all HDMI spots on all TVs, so you have to get an extension for it. Also and this only happens with the MLS and ESPN apps , it will go back 30 seconds by itself without hitting a button. Now it seems this only happens when I'm watching soccer, futbol or football( depends where you come from and what you call it). So...
