I bought this due to the high cost of cable and satellite. I tried a high end indoors antenna, which only gave me two channels. I'm truly happy I bought the Roku stick. Super easy to install too.
Bought this specifically to pair with my Denon surround system to stream surround sound but doesn't work. Contacted Roku who told me that the stick should have worked but Denon said no. Streaming through the tv is flawless though so if you don't need to stream through your surround system it's a wonderful device.
I bought this about a month a ago to use in the living room. I like that it does not take up much space. I have noticed it does take it a while to start up before we can start browsing.
It's worth the money with the different channels available. The only "problem" is sometimes the WiFi interferes with the use of this product. Some channels are a waste of time. Just a means of sorting out which ones are good & bad.
I had a chromecast until I heard about Roku.First I purchased the 3 and loved it right away. As soon as I heard about the stick I purchased it right away and replaced the chromecast. With the chromecast you only get about three channels and wit Roku yo get about three hundred. Maybe a little exaggeration but there is nothing better.Which one is better depends on what you like. They both operate the same way. Of course the box has a visible wire so if you don't want to see the wire get the stick. There are so many channels to choose from, paid and free.I was already a Netflix member and I brought M-GO off Roku. All the rest of my 72 channels are free. Believe me you can't go wrong with the stick and you WILL NOT regret it.
