Not quite what I was expecting!

I was tired of paying the cable company for content which I did not want or approve of, so I figured I'd try the Roku. I liked the fact that it was small and portable. I also liked that it had more shows than their competitors. That's where the like affair ended. If you want "B" movies, then Roku is for you. If you want channels that only provide snipits of network shows, then Roku is for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought to watch You Tube, Amazon Prime and Hulu Plus on the bedroom tv. Streams well, good picture quality. Does the job. But, the remote eats batteries at a rate of two aa's every ten days!

Exactly What I Was Looking For

We have been experimenting with "cutting the cable" for the past month and the Roku Streaming Stick is allowing us to do precisely that. We are very happy with the product and have no complaints so far. Definitely have been recommending this to friends thinking of doing the same thing.

Locks up constantly!

This piece of junk locks up constantly! The only way to reset it is to disconnect the power cord from it for a few minutes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had some inconvenience with my device. I have had to unplug the stick to reset net-flix a few times, also had to reset the my account two times. All in all I am ok with it.

A great new way to watch tv

This is wonderful. I chose Roku stick over the Chrome stick because it comes with a remote. I am so glad I made that choice. The selections are great. It's easy to use and I may buy another television just so I can have another Roku.
