I've had the Roku Streaming Stick for several months now and I absolutely love it. It's very small and is almost hidden when plugged into the side of my television. It had all of the same programs that my Roku 2 XD had. I only have two complaints about it. My first complaint is that the power cord is a little on the short side. My second complaint which is my biggest complaint is that it's takes quite a while longer to load programs once you click on them from the Roku home screen. My older Roku 2 XD loads at least twice as fast if not more than the Roku Streaming Stick. . That said once you start playing movies there's not a problem, it's just loading the app that you want to use.
Bought the other big name cast stick and was disappointed. Already had a roku2 xs and loved it, so bought the roku stick as soon as it was available. Even better interface than roku2 for netfix app. The other stick has improved, but still way still behind.
At first I wasn't able to set up the roku because the strength of internet connection wasn't string enough. I relocated and finally was able to set up. Easy, like the feature to access and use remote from you cell phone. Love that's it connects directly to the hdmi Slot as a USB. No wires or box to place around tv.
I use this system on my bedroom TV, mainly for movies on Netflix, movies and other material on You tube and Amazon. It works well, I have never had any problems with it. I also have an Apple TV which I use in my TV room on a smart TV. The Apple TV has the advantage of interconnection between an IPad and the TV which gives me more content. The Roku works perfectly for the things I use it for.
