I bought a roku a Month and a half ago. What a great investment. I do not have Cable to expensive so this is the way to go. I get Hulu, Netflix, and many other channels . Iam having a blast with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too slow, 90% disconnected, I stopped using it

I have the roku3 and it's amazing and works great (2+years). I don't have cable so I only use roku3, I decided to purchase the roku stick for a second tv , it sucked. Veryyy slow to load any app, and most of the time it gets disconnected from wifi. I read a lot of tips and tricks and thought it was my wifi but every device I have is connected fine. Wifi router is brand new . I threw the box or I would have returned it. I no longer use it and reverted to Chromecast. Get the roku3 instead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had my stick for about a month--very user friendly--lots of streaming channels, but haven't figured out how to get local streaming so I can ditch my cable subscription:)

Thought this would work great according to others reviews, and we already have roku 2 which we love,but the roku stick has been a real disappointment. It doesn't connect to network except once in a while. Need to reset connection and remote constantly. I'm tired of this! Maybe we got a defective one, I don't know. Not buying another!

Easy to set up and use

After finding out that Apple's AV adapter blocks video from the Showtime Anytime app, I decided to go with Roku. It works like a charm. It's very easy to set up, add channels and use.

I have 2 roku's and they work great, and are very easy to set up. Only problem I've had is with my second Roku the remote won't stay linked, never have had a problem with my first one.
