I have multiple Roku's, and the stick is a laggy purple piece of technology that drives me nuts. I keep waiting for a firmware update that will make it work better, but I'm not holding my breath. Every app on it lags like crazy. What it saves on space and convenience it makes up for in lack of processing power.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We Love It!!

This is our second Roku. Gotta love these powerful gadgets. Easy to set up and use. We can move it around to different tvs. The stick is a great basic unit. The programming available is fantastic. There is always something new to watch.
So glad we cut the cord a couple years ago. The never ending price increases from tv providers is maddening and makes no sense. They just make people mad.
We also have the Roku 3 which seems more aimed towards gamers, but I'm glad we have it with the various in/outputs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No need for cable

I love the Roku. I am thinking about nuy another for my other TV. Installation was very easy. Only flaw it will restart in the middle of the show, but I have had it for 2months and it has happened 2 times. I am not sure if it is my internet or the Roku.

Very happy with our roku! We have finally dropped our tv provider that we were spending up to 150.00 a month on!

I bought this 2 months ago by the recommendation of my son. I have an older HDTV that did not have access to Netflix or other current features that the newer models have. This has been a great product, easy to set up and start using immediately. Love it !!
