I have 2 Roku 3's already and I decided to try the Roku stick. It performs as well as the other devices and is portable enough to take anywhere. It would be better if it could be powered by the TV USB rather than an external power supply.
I cannot get batteries to last more than one week even with intermittent use. Roku streaming stick. I LOVE all the features, channels, menus..But the battery life issue makes me keep it put away- don't even use it. Sometimes I take the batteries out of the remote when not in use but then I have to go through setup again (remembers my wifi password though- that's good.
Slower to respond due to poor wireless signal. This may be a router external issue, but be aware that buffering and slower speeds may be experienced due to the nature of the connection. Roku 3 is a better option for me.
I am retired and on a limited budget, so I gave cable due to the rising costs. I am not one, who sits and watches a lot of television. I was informed of Roku thru a family member and decided to try it. It sure beats staring at a blank screen and I enjoy having it. Especially when I do have the desire to watch T.V. and relax at night. The selections are numerous and the fact I do the selection is the best part.
I have the old Roku and it works great. The stick takes a long time to load and in the middle of a show needs to reload, Could not use it more then 25 feet form wifi.I hate that Roku requires you to give card # just in case you buy something.ThIs should be customers call.
