Super easy to install and set up. My grandkids love the many choices that are available. I love the portability. I can watch you tube tutorials right on my TV as well as listening to Pandora. I use my iPhone and my iPad as remotes for Roku. The possibilities are endless. I love Roku.
I have an older Roku and I wanted a device I could take and use in a hotel or at someone's house when we travel. I am not a fan of Google, so I was happy when Roku came out with their Streaming Stick. Is it as functional and works just as well as my older Roku, if not better. Again, it is easy to use on the road (assuming you have WI-FI) and to me, that makes this thing fantastic.
I received one of the first ROKU units as a gift a few years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it; primarily to access my Netflex service. The only problem I encountered was that I had it installed on my family room TV. A retired widower (with persistent back problems), I usually retire to the bedroom around 9 p.m. No ROKU there. Fortunately, this year when Father's Day rolled around and my daughter said 'Dad... what can I get you for Father's Day?' ...I had an answer. A ROKU Streaming Stick! At this point in my life, there is virtually nothing that I need. But the Streaming Stick was a perfect gift. It provides an updated menu format that is very easy to maneuver. And, as with my original ROKU, it is virtually 'Plug and Play!' In addition, the Streaming Stick is a real bargain at the reduced price. And while I assume there is some difference in overall features between the units, the Streaming Stick provides everything I need. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with the ROKU Streaming Stick.
I did away with our satellite service because I was tired of paying those high bills. I purchased the Roku system and have been VERY pleased with it. It was the best money I have ever spend. We use it on a daily basis and wish we would have purchased it sooner. I have been encouraging everyone I know to go buy one.
