Does not work the way that I thought it would be.

I bought this last month and wasn't happy about it cause all channels weren't live and I did not get a thousand channels like they said it would be.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love Roku Stick

This little stick works great. I use to view netflix and other channels through a Blue Ray player. Bought the Roku stick and thought it wouldn't work that well. It works much better than the blue ray player. Planning on getting another one for the bedroom. Want to make sure I have an extra in case something should ever go wrong with the first one.

Nice Change of Pace

The stick works very well. You won't get all the latest programming or the best movies, but what you get works well. I like classic movies, but their classics are just B movies at best, with a few hits sprinkled in. They do offer pay services that I assume offer better programming. Also, their A&E and Animal Planet offer limited programming. I assume their other free major network services do the same. But, they do offer a lot of programming, and when you're tired of cable it's a nice alternative. Just don't think you're going to replace cable with this.

I liked not having to have a box and connecting through wi fi, but it quit working after 3 months.

I am pleased with Roku, but it does have issues stalling and booting me out. Other than that it works well

I can get programming I want to watch without paying for unwanted TV stations and commercials. The made by Netflix shows are something to look forward to
