Nice picture quality, great portability and features. The boot time is a little long if it's powered by the USB on the TV itself, but once powered up, the unit performs well. I have 2 other Roku2 XS units - the dual-band wireless in this, compared to the older setup in the XS provides steadier streams with other network traffic in the house. The portability can't be beaten though - looking forward to being able to pack this up and take it on my next vacation. The ability to stream to the stick from my portable devices is an added bonus.
Well, after a rocky star due a router issue, it works like a charm. I would suggest if you are having any buffering issues and you have a dual band router, make sure to connect the roku stick to the 5 GHz frequency. After I did that I have not had a single issue. Now that they updated the Netflix app to start much faster, I have not one complaint. Pretty amazing little piece of tech. By the way I have a chromecast and for my money this is the clear winner.
It's easy to install and use. I would recommend it to anyone. I just wish that Comcast would be included in the approved providers for subscribed networks on the go.
I also own an AppleTV. This is my goto device for streaming. The amount of channels available, the interface, and speed of menus is superior on the ROKU.
