I bought this in May 2015.
I love all of the free aps and setup was fairly simple.
I have had 2 problems.
The back button on the remote doesn't always work and I have to use the home button.
The unit freezes from time to time and I have to use the reset button on the stick.

I love my new roku. It was easy to set up and it's compact size was a plus. Now I can watch different programs on our extra TV.

The ROKU stick is perfect for travel. We do timesharing and just take our stick with us to the resort. A phone call to their internet/wifi providers with the ROKU codes and you are all set to continue listening to music and
watching your favorite shows

Excellent design and portability, but I frequently have to shut down my system and restart ROKU because this device loses the connection.

Not happy

I bought the roku stick just over a month ago and I have had to re set it to manufacture settings at least 4 times already. I had also bought another one for my brother at the same time and he said that he had to do the same thing. It works well until the audio does not line up then the only way to fix it is to re set the whole thing which is a pain.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
