This streaming stick is simple to use, reliable and works great! FYI- we have it on our "secondary" TV (46" Samsung LED with LG sound bar) and it's perfect for that setup.
Bought it about 5 months back and works great. I would suggest few enhancements to the Roku team that would make it even better. 1) Improve the remote. The one touch buttons for apps are of limited use and if you can remove them and add some other features it will make it more user friendly. 2) Add more themes/color style to users can personalize it. Also add more screen saver choices.
What I really like about this is I can just plug one end of stick into USB for power and then insert stick into HDMI slot. It runs off of TV power so I don't have to plug it into outlet. Has RF remote so no line of sight issues.
I love the roku streaming stick. its easy to work & allows us to take netflix anywhere. I love that we can simply move the stick from room to room if needed. my only downfall is having to make an account with each & every channel you chose, so you are constantly going from TV to internet just to sign in & get started, but other then that I think it is great!
We bought this after returning the Ruko 1. We love the concept but still are having trouble with some shows loading. They will start to load and then screen will go to loading. We thought this was the internet, but I was able to stream the same show on my laptop with no buffering. We have only had this a few weeks so we will see how it goes.
All we use at home is Roku. Up until now we've stuck with the Roku 3, which we love. We recently added another TV to our household, and when we went to get the Roku 3, it was out of stock, which is why we bought the stick. It's amazing that all the features can be fit into such a tiny device. Unfortunately still not quite there. Device takes forever to start up, and lags quite a bit once it's started.
