has a big problem

need to tape the wire on the back of the tv basically bending the stick a bit in a certain position, otherwise "no signal". I exchanged the first one I bought thinking I was unlucky but the second one has the exact same problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the ability to add channels. But need to remove side ads from screen. I would have given it 5 stars if wasn't for the ads on the side.

Setup was super easy, worked first time, however, the instructions out of the box only state to plug into an HDMI port on the TV, nothing about plugging into an amplifier with HDMI so you can get your surround sound. That's what I tried first and it worked like a gem. :) Might want to add that option to the included instructions. I have Apple TV on another set, wanted Roku for something different. Both are good and this was more wallet friendly.

I had to return the first one. It would hang and 1 button on the remote was very stiff. But the second unit was great and we've never looked back. Easy to use, great interface and access to every streaming source I wanted. Global search feature is fantastic, especially when paired with an Android as the remote. I do wish it booted faster when first turned on. I've powered it from the wall, instead of the TVs USB port, to work around this. But all around good stuff!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am very satisfied with the Roku, and recommend it, especially if you want to get away from the high priced cable/satellite providers.

The free channels are average. A great addition to the bedroom TV since our main line is hooked up to the HDTV Antenna on the roof of our Condo. It freezes up about once per week and has to be powered off and back on to reboot.

I like how fast I get to net flicks but can't afford to do all the other stuff I thought when I bought it the streaming and watching was free
