I've used the Roku stick 4 months and really appreciate having pre-selected channels with programs that I want to watch, rather than wasting time looking. And if I have trouble, the Roku Live Chat technician is patient and knowledgeable to walk me through steps to fix the problem. I am very happy with Roku.

I've had Roku for almost a year. I first got a box, but recently bought the stick to have for a second TV. No more cable bills!! There are so many channels to chose that are free. Netflix and Hulu plus are cheap compared to ever rising cable charges. Cable will be a thing of the past. I still need wifi of course but that will be the information/delivery system for the future. Make the switch now and save money too!

I have a roku box that works great but, the stick is not as good. The service with the stick I have is not as good as the box

New Roku Stick has a lot of issues

Half the time I try to use the Roku Stick it has issues. For example, almost the entire last week I tried to watch anything and all that would happen is the screen would be all blue. I could hear audio but no picture at all. Not to mention it is very slow

I use it in my RV so it wouldn't take up valuable space. Works great. Does not take up outlet space either if you use the sun power. The only minor drawback is that when the tv is turned off, so is the Stik and you have to wait a bit to reboot. Gives me time to get situated (get a drink, hit the head). Features are the same as the Roku box I have at home just a smaller footprint.

Fragile Construction

At first, I thought this was a great idea as I have a Roku 2 which can't be powered off without being unplugged from the electrical outlet or disconnected from behind the TV, but this Roku streaming stick connection is too fragile and flimsy to use with the attached electrical wire which must be plugged into a power source. Because my TV sits in a wall unit, I'm using the TV's side HDMI port for the remote control line of sight and thought it would be easy access to disconnect to use on a tablet, but it is unattractive having this USB sticking out of the side of the TV with an electrical cord dangling and it's signal is easily lost if there is any movement due to the weight of the electrical cord on this USB device. I don't expect this stick to last very long even if not handled to be used on other portable electronics such as a tablet or laptop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
