Overheats and Stops Working

I bought the Roku Streaming Stick (version 1) over 5 moths ago as our primary Roku device. I have been disappointed with this device. It gets very hot and after a few days will stop working. I will not purchase this device again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Slow to respond

The Roku stick freezes a lot and is slow to respond to the remote control. When watching Netflix, it is nearly impossible to rewind or fast forward without first having to pause, wait 5-10 seconds, then try to rewind or fast forward without overshooting what you wanted to do. The My Channels store offers a great deal of content, but there are hundreds of channels available that you can obtain from the internet for free. Cartoon classics, Spud TV, Tubi TV, Comedy TV, and so much more should be available through the stick. It does offer a lot of content, saves on using the PS3 that does have WWE Network, Netflix, and Hulu among others.

Great little device

I purchased this as my 3rd Roku device. It works great. Had a little issue with the HDMI plug in on the back of my TV. Roku did say I could go to them for a free adapter, which I will do, but all in all, no issues. Very happy with this device.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love the idea of streaming from anywhere! No I found a bit tedious to add apps and log in and so on. I was thinking it was faster to set up. Now, the quality of the streaming is great!

I've been using the Roku streaming stick for 3 months. It works well. I have made the transition away from cable with the use of Roku.
