Solid streaming choice

I bought this when I decided to cut cable and go with streaming services for my premium channels. I replaced my Google ChromeCast stick with the Roku streaming stick. It's easy to navigate and use.

Doesn't work for me

I purchased this so I could cancel cable but it doesn't hold a connection to my internet. I have done everything and moved all pieces around but it doesn't work for me. My computer upstairs, another floor higher than the wifi router, doesn't have a problem staying connected so I believe it's the Roku.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple to use, easy to set up!

I usually have to have my child take care of anything computer related but this was so easy to install I was able to do it myself. I was also able to install the remote on my smart phone by myself! So simple and I absolutely love that feature! Great product! Works great and very user friendly.

While I have thoroughly enjoyed the performance of the stick I feel I must point two problems I've found. First off you need a good internet connection and I mean good. If it's spotty at all you'll spend half of the time waiting for it to buffer. That can be fixed relatively easy with a signal booster or repeater. The other problem I've found with it and have not been able to fix yet is the remote. While the stick itself works fine the remote has been extremely problematic. If I'm not constantly taking the batteries out and putting them back to get the thing to turn on I'm having to reset it to scan for the stick. I'm in the process now of trying to find a universal remote that can be set to work with the stick as the one that came with it is completely substandard and a huge pain to use. That however is the only thing keeping me from giving this product an excellent rating.

Very slow and losses connection often!

We've had the streaming stick for about a month and it OFTEN cuts off the show, losses signal to wifi, or won't even load properly. It's a constant battle to get it to come back on or not stay locked up. We also bought the Roku box (most expensive one they offer) and it is FANTASTIC! Never have any problems! Spend the extra money and get the better of the bunch.
