We have 2 other ROKU boxes (early models, mind you), and have always been very happy with them. When the 'smart TV's' came out (and we bought them) with Netflix/Amazon, we figured we would never need the ROKU box any longer for these smart TV's - but these smart TV apps suck so bad that we always fall back using our ROKU boxes 9 times out of 10, and the result is superior for reliability and picture quality. Now, if only the morons creating these 'smart TVs' could take a lesson from ROKU, we would all be much happier. Anyhow, the ROKU Streaming Stick is the best ROKU to date - we love it. I works with our 5G connection very well, so we get 1080 resolution all the time when it's available - crisp picture and a nice new menu interface to boot.
Ive had it for a few months. Works perfectly. Traveled over the summer and it worked in hotels too! Only think could use more diverse channel line up- but worth what I spent!
I've loved Roku for a long time. This one is very slow to load and it is slow to navigate. It's so slow to load that we end up leaving the TV on when we should turn it off, so as not to have to wait for the boot up. Then the slowness of the menu nav is offputting. Once a show is going, it's all good. And Roku carries all the services I care for (HBO GO, Amazon Video and Music, Netflix, HULU, YouTube). I am tempted to get an upgraded model... Or try out a Chromestick.
We bought this Streaming Stick to work with our Television that is mounted on the bedroom wall. This works very good in that you don't have to make room for a box to set on a table.
