Too soon to tell, connectivity issues abound

We purchased two Rokus, one for upstairs one for down and since then have been experiencing severe connectivity issues related to not being able to have more than one device on at a time - for example if one person is watching TV upstairs we can't have the Roku on downstairs. We are grateful that Roku offers so many resources for programming and for researching how to successfully use it but the process is more complicated than envisioned and anyone planning to buy one should plan on spending a lot of time - at least initially - figuring out connectivity and finding programming. Also wondering why so many programs, such as Bravo Network, require signing in with your cable TV service ID code - isn't the point to not have cable TV?
I purchased the Roku Stick several months ago and noticed right away it doesn't respond well when trying to pause, fast forward, frame step and various other commands. It is really annoying to pause a show/movie then try to continue. Instead, it starts over from the beginning. Last night I went back to my old Roku 2 and it works GREAT compared to the new one and it loads just as fast which was suppose to be a vast improvement over the old Roku.
The apps and content on the Roku Streaming Stick are awesome. We use it mainly for Netflix, Vudu Ultraviolet movies, Crackle, and YouTube. It's so easy to stream a YouTube video from our iPhones to the Streaming Stick. The 4 quick buttons on the remote are very useful, but I do wish I could pick which apps have a quick start button. I think the Streaming Stick is the best Roku device because it plugs right into the TV and we don't need shelf space for it, plus there are less wires compared to the box models.
