I bought this for my daughter's bedroom and it works great. I have the Roku 1 in my room and had trouble with the remote skipping. I bought a HDMI cable and it works fine now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

easy to use

surprisingly easy to install, even for the most tech-uncomfortable. easy to follow guide to see available shows. I feel a bit misled, however, because there seem to be many of the very few shows I watch on TV available on Roku. Also didn't realize I needed to buy former episodes or seasons of network tv in order to watch. Really wish MSNBC and NFL games (full, not highlights) were available. Why have MMA, NBA, and soccer packages, but no NFL?

Upgrade from Chromecast

I had a Chromecast and realized I was missing out on way too many apps and so much content. It's sitting in it's box until Google catches up.

Pair the Roku with an OTA antenna, a DVR, and a few streaming services and you hardly miss anything with cable. Roku works well and I haven't experienced any hiccups at all
