Why did I wait this long?

We've been on the fence for a long time about dumping cable TV. Finally took the step and went with Roku. Best decision ever. Tons of content by itself, paired with one or two subscriptions makes for fantastic streaming TV at a fraction of cable's costs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pros: Netflix ( #1 reason I bought Roku),
High Quality Video Streaming,
Un-interrupted, seamless internet connection.
Roku Remote App
Decent cost of the device.
Cons: Terrible Remote - No speech recognition,
Typing letter by letter to search, especially in Youtube app is painful,
The buttons on the remote are non-user friendly (Netflix is an exception)

My only compliant is the size of it on my tv it fits perfectly but on other tv models it fits awkwardly

I have had 2 chromecasts in our home for casting Netflix and plex for over a year. We added a tv to our daughters room and dis died to try the roku because it has the time warner cable app. I was and am quite disappointed in how SLOW the roku is in loading and starting up co paired to the chromecast. Hands down if some one asks me which one to recommend it would be the chromecast NOT this roku.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For me, the installation of the Roku Streaming Stick was very easy. It's as close to plug and play as you can get. The unit functions very well. I have had it about a month and have not had a lot of time to play with it. Maybe it's just me, but so far I don't find a lot of channels I would watch. If they get local stations and live feeds it would be a cable killer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
