I've had my Roku stick for 3 or 4 months...I am not as impressed with the service as I thought I'd be. There are many hoops to jump through with the free programs offered,, I didn't think there would be as many hoops to jump through to get what you want,,,,,the streaming isn't very fast or good. There are way too many commercials also, I feel a bit betrayed about the merchandising of the product, it can be a real hassle if you don't know about all possibilities you can choose .It just seems to me that maybe more work needs to be done in the lab by watching some of these free programs & see what you have to go through to get them....then you can only get clips of the programs & not full episodes....that's a drag !
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this system. I am so glad I cut the cable company loose. I watch less tv overall but watch what I want when I want to watch it. Programs I didn't watch when they were originally on, I can now go back to and start at the beginning. Besides no cable bill my power bill has gone down by a third.

Absolutely Love My Roku

It was so uncomfortable for me to watch Netflix or You Tube videos on my little computer screen, especially by myself. With Roku, I can stream movies and series on my living room big screen and share them with everyone. It is wonderful, and there are so many free channels to choose from.
