Great Content

I bought the Roku Streaming Stick about a month ago. I live in an area that I get most of my TV channels over the air (about 11) but there was no music channels. So, I researched the Roku. It is wonderful, and the sound while dependent on my internet connection (3Mbps) is HD quality. Plus I have options for Movies on demand, YouTube, etc. I am happy with my purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Slightly Disipointing

In the big picture it works as other Roku devices do, this is where the good ends.
The Stick was advertised as being able to be controlled by the TV remote if using an MHL port on the TV, this is not the case in my experience. I also have had to factory reset the Stick multiple times in order to fix crashing issues(on the main menu screen, not in one of the channels), which required me to re-connect all of my accounts. I also do not recommend using the usb port on your tv to power the Stick because this seems to make problems happen often.
One other problem is that since I have began using this device both it and the Roku 3 that I have had for over a year began disconnecting from my wifi network requiring me to reconnect them to it manually every time I want to start watching content.

LOVE IT!

I bought my ROKU stick in September 2014 while visiting a friend in GA; the simplicity of the installation process and what it could do, were the best selling features for me. I am technically-challenged, so doubted I would be able to install the ROKU myself. I signed up for Amazon Prime as my main source for streamlining, because it offered other services I could use, too, and its price was comparable to Netflix, Hulu, etc. I plugged my stick into my television and the on-screen instructions easily took me through the rest of the process. I was watching HBO series and listening to great music offered via PANDORA in 15 minutes! The stick can be transferred from one TV to another, so you can easily use it in any room of your home. The remote that comes with it is SOOOO easy to operate, especially when advancing forward or backward. Purchasing this ROKU stick was so much cheaper than buying a SMART TV, which was what I had initially planned on doing - my ROKU stick provides all the services that the SMART TV offers. Highly recommend it! If I could install it, anybody can!

Love my rokus

First roku we bought was the roku 3. Have since bought 2 roku sticks. Love the sticks! Don't need anyplace to store them, great features, absolutely love them!

I like that you just need a hdmi stick, and remote but needs lots of improvment. needs better channels,like ones you can get on a smart phone. most channels are lame.also should have a internet browser. cant access internet but thats where ya get channels.

Better than smart tv

Our Samsung smart TV in the bedroom is great, but we couldn't get all the content we watch on our Roku in the family room so we bought a Roku streaming stick. Very happy with it. In fact it is better than our older Roku HD in the way it automatically goes to the next episode of a series. We have dumped cable
and use our Rokus and digital TV antennas. MUCH better TV for a fraction of the cost. The picture quality on digital broadcast TV is noticeably better I might add. Very easy to set up the Roku. Yes do it. You will enjoy cutting the cord.

Streaming Heaven

I bought this to get amazon prime in my bedroom because my Bu-Ray player didn't have it. The Roku player has so much more apps than my Sony Bu-Ray in my living room I"m buying high end one.
