We bought this about 2 months ago. The stick is the way to go!! We bought the original one last year and it's great....but, too many wires

Great compact device for online channel connection

Pros: Great small device for connecting to online channels. Love the remote control. Color easy to locate :).
Cons: Price could be a bit cheaper by at least $10. Should have come with an HDMI Extended cable (real tight squeeze on my TV). Stick could be more slimline (kinda bulky). Need instructions on how to connect with Hotel TV's, had difficulties connecting. It displayed connected and I could see the channels but I was never able to view any online channels. If I'm able to stream on my laptop in the hotel, I should be able to connect through the Roku stick. Perhaps a software update is needed for Roku.

Impossible to install it

I bought this 2 months ago and I couldn't figure out how to install it. It was a terrible experience.

Its always going out on me and freezing I would be nice if it worked but it doesn't most of the time so I wouldn't recommend it

Slow start, but works fine, now

I bought this in New Hampshire while visiting a friend. We bought one for him and I thought, what the heck. It worked slowly, at first, seeming to take some time for the picture to get to HD quality. But, it works fine now an ed I love it. The only issue is it takes a while to connect to my WI-FI and I've grown a bit bored with the jumping and spinning ROKU letters. Other than that, I'm satisfied and I would recommend it. I also have a ROKU 3 player, now in the basement.

Love Roku but sound options are terrible

Cannot get the Roku to play in my Soundbar. I have searched for weeks on the internet, contacted the Soundbar company, asked questions on forums and no one seems to know how this is possible to do.

I had been thinking about purchasing a Roku device for a while, but when the opportunity came to buy one of these devices on a deal I was sold. Best feature: Small (tiny!) size, minimal cabling. Does not take up more room on my entertainment device shelves. The one I have is a "refurbished" unit, so I'm not sure how well the use of the power supply is documented in a new/retail box, but it was unclear to me at first if I needed to use the power supply. After some initial issues with reliability/crashing, I plugged in the power supply and have not had any problems since. This Roku has become the streaming device of choice in my house. I have been a little frustrated with the amount of content that requires a payment or subscription to view, but we are Netflix and Amazon Prime subscribers already, so there is plenty to watch. All in all, a great product for a reasonable price and tiny size. I like the RF remote control also!
