Like my Roku streaming stick

I bought my first one a couple of months ago and then decided to buy another one. I was getting rid of Cable and switching to an antenna. The first Roku worked really well. When I installed the 2nd Roku in my bedroom I've had problems with it. Still haven't figured out what's wrong. But I don't watch much TV in my bed so it's not a big issue ....yet! I'm happy with the original Roku I have in my main room.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is the prefect solution for an alternative to cable TV., I plugged the Roku stick into the back of the TV;as long as I have internet I have something to watch. And if you want a bigger selection of shows, Netflix and a variety of low-cost streaming channels are available.

Saving money on Cable.

I bought a Roku player to save money on the high price cable bill i was paying for monthly. Now with the Roku player i still get the same HD quality as i did for Cable but for half the price & its more affordable. Roku is the way to go for Tv.

Small and inconspicuous

Wanted something to stream video content from iPad to television. This will do that but not with all videos. Sometimes the casting software will not stream effectively. Easy to set up account and the stick. I used the USB port on the television to power the stick and have had no power issues. There are free options to watch but most channels are by paid subscription.
The stick streams well but takes a little while to start streaming and there is a perceptible time between hitting play/pause and the program responding. Navigation on screen is fairly intuitive and selecting channels to add is easy.
Overall, despite not doing what I thought it would, I'm pleased with its performance.

cheaper than cable or satellite

I have bad credit so I couldn't afford down payment on cable or satellite. Then the monthly fee was very high

Lots of channels

I bought this a month ago and I Had Hoped for a better experience with the roku stick Than I Have Had, It Locks up 3 to 4 Times A Week And I Have to unplug it to reset it , And sometime When it plays commercials It Will Say 1 of 3 ads and it will get stuck playing the commercials over And over instead of loading the movies, It is For that reason I'M disappointed In My Purchase of the roku stick.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Plug it in, create the accounts for the streaming networks you want, find the shows/movies and you are good to go. The remove works great and it's simplicity makes it easy to use for most everyone.
