I bought a new 40 in tv, I wanted to buy the smart tv but couldn't afford it so I
Purchased the Roku stick. It's the best thing I've used and enjoyed since my I-pad. What a great devise. I highly recommend Roku. You will amazed at what it can do.

This product is great of course if you have a slow internet connection, your roku player will also be slow. However, I love being able to watch my shows on Netflix without having to attach my laptop to my t.v using an HDMI cable. :)

That is when I get use it. I don't have cable and have not for more than 12 years. I like the ability to chose what I want to pay to watch. And there are lots of free stuff. I don't watch a lot of tv and don't feel the need to pay for stuff that I don't watch. So Roku is wonderful.

when starting Roku the icons are never in the same place. example: I use HBOgo everyday. I always have to look for it. Should be that you can pick your favorites to remain on top. The same thing with a specific show that you are watching every day. There should be a way o make it a favorite first on your viewing list. Additionally a description of a show or series should be included. Now you have to start the series (pilot) to know what it is about. Also when you switch to a series and want to sort by the oldest program and not the newest, you have to do that every time you start because it wont stay there after setting. Also the program items should inform you if the programs require subscription or if it is free.

I bought the Roku to see if I could live without satellite TV. If I could only watch movies for more than 10 minutes!! I have full signal from Wi Fi router but I lose connection after about 10 minutes every time I watch a movie. I bought a signal extender that is 20 feet from Roku and has a direct line of sight to the range extender.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
