I love the Streaming Stick but am having problems with the remote control. It needs to be synced to the streaming stick at least twice a week. Frustrating! Otherwise I love it.

Does not Work for me

I love the idea of the stick. Setup is easy. A lot of times it doesn't work and I often have to unplug it and plug it back in. I push my buttons on my roku remote and nothing happens. Sometimes I just give up and turn off TV. I can aim at TV, around the TV or even directly at the stick. It beeps though nothing. I could be because of my internet connection.it could be because my usb connection is in the back of my TV. I never had these problems with the older model of the Roku's even with slow internet connections. My download or stream might be a lot slower. I mean a Lot! The roku remote always worked perfectly fine. I am looking forward to upgrading to the Roku 2 or 3 and getting away from the stick.

I bought this a month ago and I kind of regret it. It is incredibly slow. Each time it's turned on and everytime I open a channel. Also the audio dosent match the picture! It's always 1 second off!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got fed up with paying cable companies for 400 channels I didn't watch and constantly having my bill creep up, at home and at a vacation home. Dropped cable everywhere for a savings of $1500/year. Bought the stick, picked up about 40 of the channels to start with including PBS, Crackle, and a bunch of others like A&E and History -- ended up adding Netflix because had missed some stuff like breaking bad and other things. The only thing I wanted and haven't been able to get was bbc world news, so I stream that on computer every night for half an hour. Have watched "Damages" on crackle, Coupling and Call Midwife on Netflix, and everything good from PBS is available for 2 weeks or so after it airs (which solves the Downton Abbey problem in January). I watch what I want when I want and can watch mini-marathons of tv shows or pick a movie I haven't seen out of the thousands of choices on crackle or netflix and I haven't even started breaking bad yet. I wish I had done this years ago -- the Roku installed in 5 minutes with nothing but a network key from me and has worked flawlessly and I can take it from home to vacation home and just switch networks. Still pay cable for internet, but didn't have to get faster upgrade service to make Roku work like a dream. All of my fears of missing stuff were unfounded -- I have found everything I wanted and more.

Good bye cable!

I bought my Roku stick last month and am LOVING it. It's so easy to set up and begin streaming shows and movies immediately. My favorite part is that I can quickly unplug it and move it to another tv in another room. I was so excited to get rid of cable and only subscribe to Netflix and Hulu Plus. The more I use it, the more I love it!

I bought this a month or so and am very happy with it. We put it in the RV and can watch Netflix and Amazon Prime without direct cable hook up. We just need wifi signal. It is just what we needed.
